Announcement of the untimely passing of Titos Papamastorakis
Call
for papers 34th volume of the D. CH. A. E. (2013)
As you already
know, the
associate professor
at the University of Athens
and eminent Byzantinist Titos Papamastorakis recently passed away,
on the 11th of November 2010.
Titos
Papamastorakis was an active member of the Board of the Christian
Archaeological Society. The Board has decided to honour the deceased
by dedicating the 34th volume of the Deltion of the Christian
Archaeological Society (2013) to his memory.
Greek and foreign
archaeologists and historians of Byzantine Art, as well as
historians, are invited to send their contributions, related to
Christian archaeology or history of art and architecture of early
Christian, Byzantine and Post-Byzantine period. According to the
practice followed in the former dedicatory volumes, submitted papers
should not exceed 5.000 words in length and should include no more
than 8 photographs and drawings. Further, a brief abstract of five
to seven (5-7) lines should be attached, as well as four (4)
keywords, specifying the historical period and geographical area
presented in the paper, in addition to its general and specific
subject.
Submitted papers
that conform to the above specifications will be sent to two (2)
referees for approval. Paper authors and referees remain anonymous
to each other throughout the process. In case of contradicting
opinions, the paper will be reviewed by a third referee. Papers
accepted for publication should
then be adjusted by the authors to the “Editorial
guidelines for contributions to the ΔΧΑΕ”.
From now on, and
due to the implementation of the electronic version of the Deltion,
the authors of papers accepted for publication will be kindly asked
to sign a contract with the Christian Archaeological Society, in
which copyright matters are clarified, according to the established
international practice.
Contributions should be addressed to the secretariat
of the Christian Archaeological Society, at the Byzantine and Christian Museum (22, Vas. Sophias Ave., 106 75 Athens). Submission deadline is the 9th of March 2012.
